Hasbro's Q and A session, Round 3, 2009

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION FIRST!

These questions and their answers are being posted here for both the benefit of our group of collectors AND all of the Joe collectors around the world. While we welcome other sites linking to this thread and we ourselves link to several other websites posting their Q and A sessions, we do not copy the content and answers from other sites and we do not appreciate ours being copied and listed elsewhere.

We ask that you (webmasters and admins from other joe-related websites) honor this code of respect by NOT copying and pasting our answers. Although some websites such as HissTank and theterrordrome may think that they are saving their viewers the trouble of looking elsewhere for this content, this is not the original intention of Hasbro's PR efforts in spreading equal question opportunities amongst all of our various websites.

If this request is not respected, we will begin restricting much of our content to registered members of our website only. While we feel this tactic looks very selfish and snobbish, it is really the only option we have to protect our content on the web. So you readers from hisstank, terrordrome, and elsewhere.. don't ruin it for everyone else. Take a page from GeneralsJoes.com and post links; or do not post anything. Thanks.

Now, the answers!

AC: 1. The new Rise of Cobra Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes is awesome! But somehow, there are pictures showing up of loose versions with a gray timber. Could this be a new variant? and if so, will it be as expensive and ridiculously hard to find as the 25th anniversary timber variants?

Hasbro: Yes there will be a variant Timber and it will be easier to find than the 25th anniversary wolf.

AC: 2. The Resolute Snake Eyes test shot figures have been showing up online and on ebay and look fantastic. Unfortunately they have been selling on ebay for over $300. Please tell us how soon we will be able to get our hands on a retail priced, mass produced version?

Hasbro: We are not ready to announce this yet, but we would not recommend paying $300 on ebay.

AC: 3. When the Resolute comic pack "Who owns the night?" was canceled, the Night Creeper planned for that assortment thankfully got transferred to the upcoming 7 packs. What happened to the Snake Eyes from that pack? Was
it a repaint or a new mold, and we will see it somewhere else in the line in the future?

Hasbro: That figure was a Samuari Snake Eyes based on early Resolute concept art and the tooling was shared with Storm Shadow. There is a likelyhood that you will see this is some form down the line.

Okay I THINK that question number 2 has already been answered through leaked photos of a toy package I saw on another site. I should also say that I;m disappointed with the answer to that question, as I think it would be much better for Hasbro to be the one to bring the excitement to folks, and not the foreign black market.

Glad to hear that the new variant Timber will not be so rare. Would like to know the exact ratio though. I'd also like to know if there is any way to get the missing comic from the canceled 2-packs.

I agree wholeheartidly (sp?) with the warning at the begining of the thread. hisstank is a site i purposely avoid, simply because of their obvious "dont go to any other website, you MUST stay here" attitude. I think alot of people at other websites feel the same way.

i want to see what this samurai snake eyes looks like now. I am guessing he was coming with a Dice-ish mask like Storm Shadow did. Now all we need is the Dark Ninja Master from the 8 inch Kung Fu line.
Why is my past always catching up to me?

i liked question 3 i actually forgot about that comic pack. i would be interested in seeing a test shot of that figure i am intrigued. samurai and ninja dont traditionally mix, i am curious to what leads them to the conclusion they do, or is snake eyes so bad ass hes a samurai too.

I think question #2 was asked by another site and got a little different answer. I think it was the hisstank one.. where they said that the figure was on hold and being considered for 2010.

this round of questions was extremely disappointing all around on all of the sites i visited. its getting harder to look forward to these answers the way they are getting nonanswers.

We've asked that, believe me! (I think it was a couple of rounds ago)

Okay I checked and it was JOhio.com that asked that on Oct 20th last year. here is the Q/A on that:

JOhio.com wrote:JOhio: 4. Now that we have gotten the Tiger Force versions of Duke and Flint, when will we receive the Ninja Force versions of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow?

Hasbro: There are no plans for this before the movie.

I thought I read somewhere that Hasbro was planning a Resolute 7-pack. They've already made the molds so I would expect them to show up sometime next year if not earlier. They know that they have a hit with Resolute and some of the Resolute dseigns will be seen in the ROC line.

Resolute Figures I've seen (or look like Resolute versions to me):
Snake-Eyes
Storm Shadow
Destro
Baroness
Roadblock
WIld Bill
Gung Ho
Firefly (ROC Flash looks real close to me)

I too want to see Samurai Snake-Eyes, but it sounds like it would be a just repaint of comic pack Resolute Storm Shadow.
